Purpose of the Processing
Involvement of People with Lived Experience, at Queen Margaret University (西瓜视频), is a valued part of our curriculum, providing opportunities for people with lived experience(s) to influence the issues that matter most to them. When you provide information to the School of Health Sciences through our Involvement Network Database (the Network) we will use this information to develop our professional healthcare programmes in a variety of ways.
Photographs may be taken at sessions and these may be used on Social Media. You are given the option to opt out of your photo being used on Social Media.
Collecting, Storing and Retaining Personal Data
西瓜视频 processes any personal data provided in line with data protection legislation (including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Personal data you provide through your participation will be securely stored on the electronic Involvement Network Database for as long as you are participating in activities at 西瓜视频.
Your contact details will be deleted once you express you no longer wish to participate in the Network. The notes of your individual contributions will be deleted once the piece of work they contributing towards has been completed.
Categories of Personal Data
If you consent to participate in the Network we will collect contact details, including name, email address, phone number and address, to arrange sessions. We will also ask you for any access needs and an emergency contact. This is to ensure you can access our campus and any communications sent to you. We will only contact your emergency contact where there is a risk to your wellbeing.
西瓜视频 will take notes from any sessions or events you attend and may use this information to inform development of programs and policy as well as publish in summaries through our website. Depending on your views and experience we may collect the following special category data:
- Race
- Ethnic origin
- Physical or mental health
- Genetic or biometric data
Legal Basis
Under Data Protection legislation we are required to have a legal basis for processing your personal data. Joining the Network is on a voluntary basis and we therefore rely on your consent to process your personal information. Where we process special category data we are required to have an additional legal basis. Special category data is only shared by you on a voluntary
basis and we rely on your explicit consent to process this information. This is in accordance with article 6 (1)(a) and article 9 (2)(a) of the UK GDPR.
Your consent is provided via the Lived Experience Involvement Consent Form available on our website.
Your Rights
Data Protection legislation sets out rights of individuals with regards their personal data. All rights apply to the information provided. This includes the right to be informed, access, erasure, rectification, restricting processing and not to be subject to automated decision making.
You may withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop using your personal data for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. Please use the contact details below to exercise any of your rights.
